This is a frog prince special that I happen to come across. I can’t help but post it here for I shed tears after watching this special episode. T-T We were given a perspective from Dang Ou that will shed some light to his inner-self –what his thinking, his feeling and his fears for the future.

Episode Translation
Note: Voiceovers – Dang Ou’s voice.

Dang Ou walks towards the tree
voiceover: “Nobody knows about the secret I hid at this place. A secret regarding memories… Someone said that a person’s memories begins at the point where there’s an impression, such as the first time you fall, the first time you speak or the first day you go to school.”

Dang Ou takes out his diary and flips it open.
Voiceover:”However, my memories begin from the point when I first saw the girl named Ye Tian Yu. Its been 96 days, 9hrs and 36min..From that moment, my black memories begin to have some fresh records..”

[Flashbacks to Tian Yu cleaning up Dang Ou]
Voiceover: The first time I saw her, it seemd to me that I saw an angel surrounded by a white glow, attentively caring for my wounds. She told me…
TY: Actually you can be considered to be our…cousin!
DO: Cousin? Then what’s my name?
ZZ: You are Dang Ou!

[back to reading his diary]
Voiceover: “This is the first time I heard of this name, Dang Ou. It seems foreign to me and the name does not seem to be on level with the branded watch on my hand.” (So he already know that DO was not his real name back then!!!)

[flashbacks to TY and DO at the devil's grassland]
Voiceover: “But for somehow who has just lost his memories, I can only choose to believe her… Believe the angel whom I first saw… Believe that there is really called Grandma Hua Zi, who lives in the devil’s grassland, waiting for me to deliver green beans.”
TY: Let’s get down. The first thing you have to do today is to deliver all these stuff to Grandma Hua Zi by yourself. Hurry up. AHHHHH!!! (TY falls into the hole)
DO: Where are you?
TY: Dang Ou
DO: Don’t be afraid… Give me your hand…

[Both TY and DO falls into the cave]
DO: What’s wrong?
TY: I haven’t marry a rich guy… I don’t want to die!
DO: Who says that we’ll die?
TY: This is the black cave of devil’s grassland! We may never get out…
DO: Is marrying a rich guy really yo\u8r greatest wish in life?
TY: Of course! If I marry a rich guy, my whole family would be able to live in comfort. Mom…(continues crying)
-DO puts his jacket over TY-
TY: Hey. What are you doing? You’re very strange…
DO: I’m not strange

Voiceover:
“The reason for her determination to marry a rich guy is so naive… But when I saw her saying it in such a serious tone and crying so badly, I have this urge to console her. We spent our first night in the black cave of the devil’s grassland.”

DO carrying TY
DO: Actually there’s no one called Grandma Hua Zi right?
TY: Grandma Hua Zi stays at the back of the hill at the end of the village. I’ms sorry.

Voiceover:
Even though I’ve already guessed her answer, my heart somehow seems to have fallen into the dark put again after hearing her answer. However, her soft murmurings of apologies on my back seems to have a magical power and appeases my sadness… However, this failed attempt to further strengthesn the determination of JZ to chase me away…

TY & ZZ: GO Home?
JZ: Yes. His family GU Jian called to say that his father is ill, so I’ve packed everything and arranged for him to leave at 9 AM tomorrow from the harbour. He’ll arrive in the Philippines soon…

Voiceover:
Everyone says that TY loves to lie, but her guilty conscience is written clearly on her face that night. TY may actually be more kind-hearted than she herself is willing to admit.

[Flashback to Dang Ou teaching Tian Yu the piano]
TY: THis is the song my birth mother taught me when I was young. My fingers are not suitable to play piano because I carry tanks frequently.
DO: I can teach you. (holds TY’s fingers to play the piano) I realiezes that this ring looks very nice on your fingers because a hardworking hand is as precious as this diamond ring.

[Flashback to the harbour scene]
Voiceover:
II’m just like an abandoned kid waiting for a miracle to occur. It seems as though I’ve waited for ages until I finally hear the calls of an angel.

TY: Dang Ou!!!

Voiceover:
I can still clearly remember TY’s anxiety to same me. This is so different from her usual petty nature. It was the first time I felt the warmth from being protected and treasure by other people. All of a sudden, I feel like doing something fore her as well.

{Back to Dang Ou reading his diary and looking at the photo}
Voiceover:
In order to save GUan Mei Hotel, I hurt my head after a fall. However, I feel that it was worth it because I was rewarded with TY’s sincere confession of her love for me. (Awwww such a cute scene here!!!) Even though the feeling was a little awkward…

[Flashback to the hospital scene]
TY: Please don’t die, Dang Ou! You once told me that I’m the only person you know in this world and you wouldn’t know where to go without me. But now you’re going to somewhere faraway alone, aren’t you lonly? Dang Ou, are you afraid of not being able to fine me?! Please don’t die!
SM: What are you dong?
TY: Lao Ye, Dang Ou is dead. Lao ye…

{Dang Ou carrying Tian Yu}
TY: Dang Ou why are you here? How’s your injuries?
–DANG OU KISSES TIAN YU–
Voiceover:
This is Ye Tian Yu. Even when she’s weak and semi-conscious, she’s still worried about me only.
DO: Don’t worry aboue me.. You are very weak no. Close your eyes and rest.

[Flashback to TY's storeroom]
DO: You want me to pose as Jun Hao? Who is he?
TY: He’s someone of a higher status than ZQ. Senwell’s General Manager! Furthermore, he’s in Japan now and he does not meet the media. So it the safest for you to pose as him! Look! I’ve even prepared the clothes!
DO: Why are you so superficial?!! Is it that embarassing for me to appear as who I am in front of them with you?
TY: That’s not the point. Nobody hopes that their boyfriend is a good-for-nothing. Further…you do not treat me as your girlfriend. So since you are acting might as well pretend to be a rich guy!
DO: Superficial!
TY: Anyway even if I’m punished or made fun of… you don’t care!
Have you spared a thought for my feelings then? You want me to pretend to be someone else. Did you consider my feelings? You want me to care about you, but you only care about yourself! Selfish!
TY: Alright! I would never ask for your help ever again! Forget it!

Voiceover:
The first time I heard of the name Shan Juna Hao, I only felt a surge of anger rising through me. I guess that was jealousy. I once thought that I was the only one capable of protecting TY, but I was hurt deeply that day. I didn’t notice TY’s helplessness…until I saw TY’s plea to me in her diary that night. I decided to pluck up my courage then. I may be a frog, but I would turn into a prince and wave my sword in order to save TY.

[Flashback to the party]
Guests: Bikini! Bikini!
DO: TY! I rushed down straight from the airport after coming back from Japan. Did I miss anything? I apologize if my tardiness caused to be mistaken. Hello everyone! I’m Shan Jun Hao. I apologize for being late on the first time we’re meeting.

[Flashback to the piano scene]
Voiceover:
I’m willing to say 1000 or 10000 lies just for that smile.
TY: Will you really stay behind for my sake?
DO: That will depends on how you want to persuade me…(TY attempts to kiss him) Girls hold not take the iniative…This kind of things, guys should take the initiative…(leans overs and kisses TY)
Voiceover:
This is the period where I was the happiest and free from worries…Until the appearance of Zian Qi.

[flashback to the hotel where ZQ is taking DO back]
Voiceover:
All these came about out of a sudden, and I was feeling at a loss. Just when I was still thinking about how to put it across to TY, she was already hurt because of me.

[flashback to the night of TY and DO after ZQ came]
TY: So you are actually Jung Hao of Senwell!
DO: Can I Choose not to be Jung Hao? I prefer to be Dang Ou. I cannot assure you about my past or my future, but I can tell you definitely that, I love you. I have only have you in my memories and that’s sufficient to me…

[back to Dang Ou's writing in his diary]
voiceover:
To me, everything about Jung Hao holds no meaning to me. I don’t even remember the girl called YX. I only care about Tian Yu and I will do anything to stay by her side.

[flashback to the night of the rooftop]
TY: Look! That’s level 1 star! The bright one beside it seems to be a level 6 star. Thank you for giving me such great memories. I believe that even when I turn old and my hair is grey, my facie is all wrinkled, my vision, hearing and physical ability decreases, and only sit on a rocking chair… I will have a sense of happiness as long as I think about this moment…
DO: I think that I would still be able to remember your face when confessing your love to me now even when I am 100 years old.
TY: Hey do you think that we should go on a date? Should’nt boyfriends and girlfriends go on dates?
DO: It would seem so… So you want a date? (TY nods her head) Say so earlier…Why do you have to look like the world is coming to an end?
TY: I thought you didn’t like girls to take the initiative? That’s why I feel that you should ask…
DO: In that case… (Shouts) Tian YU! Do you want to go on a date with me?

Voiceover:
From Tian Yu’s sad smile. I know that she’s trying to hide something. I didn’t probe on and I pretended not to see her tears. (I was crying buckets in this part) But I guess that the secret which caused her so much misery must have something to do with me… Last night, under the starlit sky, we made a promise to stay together till we’re a hundred years old. Therefore I made a decision to protect Tian Yu forever until I disappeared from Dang Ou’s world.

DO quickly hides his diary and wipes his tears
DO: You gave me a scare.
TY: Aren’t we going to the amusement park? Hurry up!
DO: You’re so lively today. Is it because its our first date, and your looking forward to it?
TY nods her had and DO attempts to wipe her tears
DO: What’s the matter? You’re so touched even before we start our date?
TY: Hmmm…(agrees)
DO: In that case, we shall have our second date tomorrow…our third date after tomorrow…until you get used to it..alright?
TY: OK
-Both of them starts walking and DO clings on to TY-
TY: You’re so heave. Dang Ou… can I have a piggy back?
DO: Why?
TY: Just like the previous time at the devil’s grassland..
-TY hops on to DO’s back-
DO: Aiyoh!! You’re so heavy yourself yet you say I’m heavy!
TY: No…
As Dang Ou continued walking Tian Yu silently cries
DO: Its raining…
TY: Yes…Its raining…
Voiceover:
I know that the water droplets on my shoulder are Tian Yu’s tears and not the rain…But before I settle everything, I cannot giver her any promises. I shall settle everything and make a clean break once and for all tomorrow. This watch should be able to fetch me a small diamond ring after selling it… I’ve recorded what I intended to tell Tian Yu after coming back today. After we come back, I will show her this “Diary of True Love”…
